Beforecare

(You must follow these instructions before your new procedure, follow-up touch-ups and boosts.)

DAY BEFORE AND DAY OF PROCEDURE

  • We suggest washing your hair before your appointment. You will not be able to get your eyebrows wet for at least 2 weeks.

  • DO NOT work out.

  • DO NOT consume alcohol or caffeine. Doing so will cause you to bleed which pushes the pigment out and results in less color retention.

  • DO NOT take Aspirin, IBUprofen, Niacin, Vitamin E, Fish Oil or any blood thinning medication.

  • Do not wear contact lenses during or immediately following the eyeliner procedure. Remember to bring your glasses. You may resume wearing your contact lenses as soon as your eyes return to their pre-tattooed condition.

  • Please note that you will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle.

1-2 WEEKS BEFORE PROCEDURE

  • If you don’t feel well in general, have a cold or any symptoms of sickness, please contact us to reschedule your appointment.

  • If you have any irritation or blemishes in your eyebrows,

  • No waxing or tinting 3 days before the procedure.

  • No tweezing/ waxing at least 48 hours before procedure; electrolysis no less than five days before. Do not resume any method of hair removal for at least two weeks.

  • Eyelash or eyebrow tinting or eyelash curling should be done no sooner than 48 hours before, or at least two weeks after the procedure.

  • Botox should be performed no sooner than at least 2 weeks prior to your appointment.

  • Microneedling should be done no sooner than 2 weeks prior to procedure.

3-4 WEEKS BEFORE PROCEDURE

  • You must stop taking antibiotics 3 weeks from your procedure. Please consult your doctor before doing so.

  • No laser procedures or peels should be done 4 weeks prior to the procedure. Your skin needs to be fully healed.

  • No intentional tanning 4-weeks prior to application. If you get sunburn on your face, you must allow at least 4-weeks for it to heal.

Aftercare

After care is crucial, it is very important to follow these instructions to ensure proper healing and color retention. Results will vary for all individuals and we cannot guarantee your results.

Please DO NOT use other products or follow other artists’ aftercare instructions. Through my own personal experience, these instructions will give you the best results!

Cleaning should be done after your shower/face wash routine.

The day of procedure: Immediately after the procedure start to gently blot the area with a clean tissue to absorb the excess lymph fluid. Do it every 5 minutes for the full day until oozing has stopped.

Day 2-14:

Repeat these steps twice a day (morning and night).

  1. Always WASH YOUR HANDS thoroughly with anti-bacterial soap before touching the tattooed area. You don’t want to get the area infected!

  2. THOROUGHLY CLEAN the area gently using a cotton pad or gauze soaked in distilled water or boiled spring water at lukewarm temperature to remove bacteria and dead skin.

  3. PAT DRY the area with a tissue or paper towel immediately after. (If at any point you get the treated area wet, just pat dry immediately!)

  4. MOISTURIZE* sparingly with the lotion/oil we provide to you.(If you have very oily skin, skip this step to maintain crisper strokes). Use one end of the Q-tip for one eyebrow, and the other end of the Q-tip for the other to avoid any cross contamination. Be sure to not over apply as this will suffocate the skin and delay the healing. NEVER apply lotion/oil on damp or wet tattoo.

*You may reapply the lotion/grapeseed oil sparingly throughout the day if you find the area very dry/tight and itchy. (You want your scabs to be dry and only lightly moisturized to stay flexible. NOT greasy or soft and soggy)

Not Allowed:

  • DO NOT allow the treated area to be wet or soaking in water for a long amount of time in the shower or while washing your face. You DO NOT want the scabs to get soggy. If it gets wet, dry the area immediately!

  • NO harsh cleansers, creams, or any other products on treated area for at least 10 days. Chemicals and colorants of any kind will irritate the area and may cause an infection or interfere with healing and the color of your tattoo.

  • DO NOT apply make-up to the tattooed area for the first 14 days. Makeup will suffocate the area and won’t allow the area to breathe and heal properly causing irritation and excessive scabbing.

  • DO NOT pick or scratch at the scabs/dry skin/flakiness!!! Let the flakes fall off naturally. Picking can cause scarring, premature loss of pigment or hair, and even an infection.

  • If you have bangs, you must clip them back for the first 7 days to avoid irritation and infection.

  • Absolutely NO sun exposure or tanning for 3-4 weeks after procedure. Tanning will either dramatically

  • No heavy sweating for the first 14 days. Salt is your worst enemy and will draw out the pigment!

  • NO facials, Botox, chemical treatments and microdermabrasion for 4 weeks.

  • Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 10 days and make sure you’re sleeping on a clean pillowcase.
